Terms of Use

Squiggle Studio · Last updated 24 August 2026

The short version: Squiggle Studio is free to use, with 5 new drawings a month and unlimited colouring of the 16 gallery pictures. An optional subscription raises that to 60 new drawings a month for a monthly fee. It renews until you cancel, and you cancel it in your Apple Account settings, not here.

Using Squiggle Studio

Squiggle Studio is made for children, and is meant to be used with a grown-up nearby. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. Drawings your child makes are yours to keep, print and share.

Please do not attempt to break, overload, or work around the limits of the service, or use it to try to generate anything unsuitable for children. Requests are checked before any picture is made, and we may refuse a request or withdraw access if the service is being misused.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

To cancel, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and turn off renewal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Unused drawings do not carry over to the next month, and a part-used month is not refunded on cancellation. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — reportaproblem.apple.com.

Pictures made by AI

Pictures are drawn by an AI model (Google Gemini) from the short phrase your child says or types. We constrain what it can produce — a single cartoon subject on a plain background, with no text and no scenes — and we check the request before anything is generated. Even so, an AI can occasionally produce something you would rather your child had not seen. If that happens, please tell us at contact@squigglestudio.app so we can tighten the filter.

Nothing your child makes is shared with anyone else. There is no social feature, no upload, and no way for one user to see another's drawings.

No warranty

Squiggle Studio is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or that every picture will be what you hoped for. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it.

Apple's terms also apply

Purchases made in the iPhone and iPad app are also covered by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where that agreement and these terms disagree about a purchase, Apple's applies.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially we will update this page and the date at the top. For anything at all, write to contact@squigglestudio.app — a person reads it.
